The AD-FMCDAQ2-EBZ is an FMC board for the high speed DAC AD9144 & ADC AD9680. The purpose of the AD-FMCDAQ2-EBZ is a data acquisition platform that connects the analog world using FMC to the FPGA.
The AD-FMCDAQ2-EBZ board was architected to handle some arbitrary sample rates. However - changing sample rates changes the JESD204B line rates. Xilinx does not support dynamic JESD204B rates today. Using the Xilinx IP without modification – you need to set the JESD204B rates at HDL compile time. It’s not a run time option (yet).
As Xilinx becomes more run time dynamic – so can this board. Until then, you will need a different bitstream for every sample rate.
All the boards described on this page include ESD (electrostatic discharge) sensitive devices. Electrostatic charges as high as 4000V readily accumulate on the human body and test equipment and can discharge without detection.
Although the boards feature ESD protection circuitry, permanent damage may occur on devices subjected to high-energy electrostatic discharges. Therefore, proper ESD precautions are recommended to avoid performance degradation or loss of functionality.
