Master Control Port (ADAU145X)

The Master Control Port library in the ToolBox lists blocks that utilize the ADAU145x processor family's master control port. These devices contain a combined I2C and SPI bus port accessible from a DSP program.

The master control port can be used for several purposes, as follows:

  • Self boot the ADAU145x processor from an external serial EEPROM.
  • Boot and control external slave devices such as codecs and amplifiers.
  • Read from and write to an external SPI RAM or flash memory.
  • Monitoring external I2C slaves during runtime
  • Reading a wav file from SPI flash and playing
  • Monitoring external SPI slaves during runtime
