The EVAL-ADIS2 is a PC-based evaluation system that supports communication with most ADIS16xxx products, using the “breakout board” evaluation tools for each product. The following diagram illustrates the data sensor data flow when using the EVAL-ADIS2.

The following guide walks you through setting up and using the EVAL-ADIS2 evaluation kit.
The jumper labeled JP1 provides three power supply options for evaluating our sensors.

The J1 connector on the EVAL-ADIS2 supports a remote connection to compatible breakout boards using either of the included IDC cables.
|LEGACY EVALUATION BOARDS|
Pins 13, 14, 15, and 16 on the IDC ribbon cable will remain connected, as shown in the image below.

After downloading the EVAL-ADIS USB Driver file, extract the SDPDrivers.exe file from the zip archive to a convenient location on your PC. Double click on the extracted file to start the installation process.
Click on Next to accept the default driver location.
The process will involve at least two progress bars that look like the following:
If you encounter this type of message during the process, click on Install to continue with the installation.
Once the installation has been completed, click on Finish to complete the process.
Use the table below to find and download the appropriate software for your specific sensor.
Connect the EVAL-ADIS2 to any USB 2.0 port on your PC using the included Mini USB cable. LED2 should illuminate, indicating that the board is being powered using the PC USB port. LED1 will only illuminate once the SDP Drivers have been installed and the board has successfully enumerated in Windows.
Double click on the executable file to launch the application software.
