How to Find Your COM Port
This page describes how to determine which COM port is being used for communication with your Analog Devices Inertial Sensor Evaluation System.
Use the Table of Contents on the right to jump to instructions for your operating system.
Windows 7
Connect the board to your computer via a
USB cable.
If prompted to install drivers (you will be unless you've already completed this procedure), choose Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), then click Next.
Select Don't search. I will choose the driver to install, then click Next.
Select Ports (COM & LPT), and click Next.
Click Have Disk…. On the screen that opens, select Browse… and navigate to the .inf
file on your hard drive or CD.
Click Open, then in the Install From Disk prompt, click OK.
Select “
ADI Inertial Sensor Development Board” in the
Model list, and click
Next >.
Respond Continue Anyway to the warning.
Click
Finish to complete the
USB driver installation.
Windows Vista
Windows XP
Connect the board to your computer via a
